Fashion mirrors history; whatever happens in the world eventually makes its way to the runway. Therefore, the Spring/Summer 2021 collections shown this Paris Fashion Week will go down in the archives as a sign of the times. The shows were hopeful as they were daring, fully embracing the newfound “remaining comfortable being uncomfortable” motto that emerged due to our current reality.
Kenzo’s Veiled Models

Inspired by an old image of a beekeeper, and another of a woman wearing a floral Kenzo veil, creative director Felipe Oliveira Baptista introduced apiculture to fashion with his Spring/Summer 2021 collection. The floral garments worn beneath huge beekeeper hats are weirdly in-sync with the tone of 2020.
The Y/Project Beauty Look

The collection’s joyous mood and bold silhouettes allowed the diverse line-up of models to shine as their glossy lips and voluminous lashes shaped the feminine allure of Y-Project’s new season look.
